You may need to set a Static IP address on your computer first before you can access the web configuration.
Computer IP: 192.168.1.33
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
Save settings and reboot.
After restarting, on your web browser type 192.168.1.1
You need to login as admin on your modem to be able to see and make changes to these settings, otherwise you would only see the status page. If that is the case, then you are logged in only as a guest mode.
For old model black color models:
Username: admin
Password: 1234
or
For newly issued white or red autovolt:
Username: adminpldt
Password: 1234567890
If you entered admin mode correctly, then the password change screen will appear asking you to change the default admin password.
If you click Ignore, this screen will always appear every time you log in as admin.
It is highly recommended to change the default password.
click "Go to Advanced setup"
Checked "Click here to always start with the Advanced setup" if you want to always go directly to advanced setup, otherwise just leave it blank.
This is the status page when in bridge mode. Take note of VPI/VCI value here and use it on the next configuration page.
Go to Network / WAN / Internet Connection TAB
Mode: Routing
Encapsulation: ENET ENCAP
Multiplexing: LLC
VPI: 0
VCI: 100
or
VCI: 35
use whatever VCI works for you.
Then click Obtain an IP Address Automatically
click Apply
Go to Network / LAN / IP TAB
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
click Apply
Go to Network / LAN / DHCP Setup TAB
DHCP: Server
IP Pool Starting Address: 192.168.1.100
Pool Size: 32
Note: Increase or decrease Pool Size corresponding to your needs.
click Apply
Optional: You can also enter your preferred DNS server if you want.
OpenDNS Servers
Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondary: 208.67.220.220
Google DNS
Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
go to Network / NAT / General TAB
check Active Network Translation (NAT)
check SUA Only
click Apply
Go to Maintenance / Tools / Restart TAB
Then restart to make the new configuration take effect.
