Step 1: Hard reset your PLDT modem/router. (See the small button at the back of your modem/router labeled as "Reset".
Step 2: Press the Reset button for 15 seconds.
Step 3: After resetting your modem/router. Login as user in your modem/router with default IP Address of 192.168.1.1.
Username: admin
Password: 1234
Step 4: Set new password for user account.
Step 5: After setting the new password in user account you will be login in user page in your modem/router.
Step 6: This time we will going to set the admin password of PLDT modem/router. Now, open "new tab" in your favorite browser.
Step 7: To set the new password type or copy and paste the URL below in the address bar of your favorite browser.

Step 8: After setting the new administrator password, type or copy and paste the URL below in the address bar to login in your modem/router administrator page.

I want to setup this router as a repeater. I am not able to login with adminpldt. After successfully changing the admin password, in STEP 7, I get "Can't reach the page when I use HTTP, and "403 Forbidden when I use HTTPS. I see the same error when I jump to STEP 8. Any advise is appreciated.

ReplyDeleteTo go to root administration interface where the LAN configuration is found, log-in to http://192.168.1.1/userconfig_PLDT_admin.htm. Supply a password. Use the same new password to login as "adminpldt" user at http://192.168.1.1.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to change the ethernet IP address of my old Prolink PRS 1241B to 192.168.0.22 but it seems my unit is locked. Please, willl anybody who has a back~up configuration file using any IP address in this octet send me a copy of the cfg file? I will try to do it through the back~up/restore feature of the device instead. I am trying to set~up a repeater for my wi~fi network. Thank you in advance.
